Where are you based out of?
We have 2 corporate head offices located in Calgary AB and Irvine CA. Every item will state which location it's shipping out of and if you are local you have the option to pickup
What is your processing fee?
This fee is a surcharge to securely checkout on our website. This covers our merchant fees to ensure that your shopping experience is as seamless as possible. There is no processing fee by paying via E-transfer or Zelle (which can be done by choosing the Layaway payment method)!
Do you charge tax?
Yes, we charge tax according to the address your product is delivered to. For pickup orders, we charge the tax appropriate to the pickup office
How can I view the bag in person?
You can visit us at one of our head offices if you are local. Alternatively, if you are not local you can request a virtual viewing or videos with one of our sales representatives at that location!
Where do you get all your inventory from?
We receive our items from consignors just like you! If you have designer handbags or accessories you'd like to sell then we'd love to help as we offer both consignment and instant buyout.
Are your items new?
Some of our items are brand new but unless stated a majority of our items are pre-owned.
Can I make an offer on an item?
No, our prices are non negotiable as they need to be approved by the consignors for any reduction. We strive to have the best competitive pricing so our clients can know they are getting a great price.
When are your live shopping shows?
Our live shopping events are hosted every Tuesday and Thursday on WhatNot! You can find us here on WhatNot: https://www.whatnot.com/user/luxedujour
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Email transfer, Zelle, PayPal, bank wire and all major credit cards.
Which shipping courier do you use and is it insured?
We use Canada post, UPS or DHL depending where you live and yes all our parcels are insured through our company if they are lost in transit. You can add additional insurance through Seel's Delivery Guarantee!
How does your refund policy work?
All sales are final. We have a strict refund policy unless the item is deemed non authentic which you can refer to our authenticity guarantee HERE. However, if you feel your item had a major undisclosed discrepancy please contact our customer care line 1-833-SHOPLUX and we'd be happy to help you resolve the issue!
Do you help clients source items?
Yes! Submit a wishlist form and a sales representative will reach out to you when we have sourced that item within your budget. Alternatively, you can explore items showcased on our explore page from other potential consignors and sellers to possibly get that item in and you will be notified!
Where can I submit feedback regarding my experience?
If you have any feedback related to your experience on our website or any issues you may have encountered, you can SUBMIT THEM HERE directly to our team. Please note that you will have to login to your account in order to do so.
SHOPPING
Do you have a store front to browse?
We do not have a retail store front for browsing but you can visit one of our head offices if you'd like to view an item(s) in person.
Do you have a loyalty program?
Yes! We have a loyalty program / points system when you create an account with us. As you shop and spend throughout the app you will be able to see your points bar increase and unlock new and better perks under 'MY PROFILE'. You can also sign up for our luxe membership if you find yourself consigning or lending more as you get discounted consignment rates and higher lender payouts.
How do you authenticate?
Our highly-trained in-house team of experts specializes in authenticating designer pieces and we have partnered with other third party authenticators to ensure every item we sell is 100% authentic.
How do you guarantee authenticity?
We offer a life time guarantee of authenticity on all our items which means if your item was ever deemed non authentic by a reputable authenticator with proof then Luxe Du Jour will provide you with a prepaid return label and issue a full refund.
How long does it take to receive my item after I have paid for it?
Our processing time is 2 business days and shipping time frame can vary from 2-7 business days within Canada and US.
International shipping can vary from 5-10 business days.
Can I cancel an order that I have placed?
You can cancel an order within 12 hours as long as it has not been processed yet for shipment. Please note there is a 3% restocking fee if the payment has already been completed.
If I leave a deposit can I back out?
Yes, you can back out at any time, however you will lose your deposit. Deposits are non-refundable because once you leave a deposit committing to the purchase because we pay our consignors immediately for their item.
How does Layaway work?
Layaway is an in house financing option where you can put a 30-50% deposit down to reserve the item and choose up to 12 months to pay it off (The first 2 months are free). The item does NOT ship until the full balance is paid. There is no credit check or shopping limit with our Layaway program.
Layaway deposit is non-refundable and non-transferrable. Once you have placed a deposit on the item that item is reserved for you and no one else can purchase it.
If you default on your layaway plan your deposit is forfeited and the item is re-listed for sale. Please choose the appropriate layaway time frame as the layaway plans cannot be extended afterwards.
A late fee of $150 per week is applied up to a maximum of 2 weeks if you choose to pay it off past the due date before the item gets re-listed for sale and deposit is forfeited.
What does Pending mean on an item?
Pending means a client is already trying to purchase the item but their payment still needs to be verified and is currently pending confirmation. Pending status can last anywhere from 1 hour to 3 days until it goes into confirmed sold status or available status.
To be notified if a pending item goes back on sale hit the heart button on the top right of the item to be notified when it's available.
Do you offer virtual viewings or additional videos?
Yes! You can get in touch with any of our sales representatives or customer service for additional assistance.
What is the processing fee and is it mandatory?
The processing fee at checkout is to cover the following secured methods of payment:
3.5% for PayPal or Credit Card
5% for Affirm or Splitit
There is NO processing fee for Layaway which is paying via Interac Email Transfer, Zelle, ACH or Bank Transfer. If you'd like to avoid the processing fee you can choose for the layaway option and pay the full amount or just the deposit.
Can I change my delivery address after I placed my order?
Depending on where you need to ship the item, the order may need to be cancelled and replaced in order for the correct tax to apply. If orders need to be cancelled, please note there is a 3% restocking fee.

Due to the ongoing Canada Post strike, packages may be delayed. We apologize for any inconvenience and will try to ship your items in a timely manner. Please CONTACT US if you have any concerns.
SELLING
Do you have a loyalty program for regular consignors?
Yes! You can sign up for our Luxe Membership to get discounted consignment rates. The membership is worth it if you consign or sell often or consign high valued items.
How long does it take for my item to sell?
Most of our items typically sell within 1 month if it is in excellent condition but we do not guarantee a sell date. Some items can even sell within 1 day or 1 week of being posted! However, you can opt for the buyout option if you'd like to receive instant funds for you item.
How do I get paid?
We offer multiple methods of payment for payouts as a convenience to our clients! You can choose Email transfer (e-transfer), Zelle, or ACH. This method needs to be set up under your profile and there may be a delay for Email transfer and Zelle due to its daily limit. Payouts are done every Friday.
What are your consignment rates?
Current Structure:

As we continue to elevate our services and maintain the highest standards in authentication, care, and customer experience, we are updating our consignment rates, effective January 1, 2026.
Our updated consignment structure is as follows:

$1,001 – $2,500 | 25% Fee | 75% Payout
$2,501 – $5,000 | 20% Fee | 80% Payout
$5,001 – $10,000 | 18% Fee | 82% Payout

Can I switch my item to buyout after it's been consigned?
Yes, however the buyout quote may change and be lowered.
How long are the quotes good for?
Quotes are good for 30 days if your item is received after the 30 days then the quote may be subject to change.
If my item sold on layaway do I have to wait until it's paid off to get paid?
No not at all! Our layaway and payment plans do not affect our consignors at all. Luxe Du Jour bank rolls every transaction so once your item is reserved with deposit you will be paid in full the following Friday.
If I don't live local can I still consign with you?
Yes! You can consign from anywhere in the world, however you will be responsible to pay any duties or custom fees that may apply getting your item into our country.
Do you take and sell clothing?
No, at this time we do not accept or sell clothing. This may change down the road as Luxe Du Jour expands.
What brands do you accept?
We currently accept select handbags, accessories, jewelry (fine and costume), watches, and small leather goods from Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Hermès, Céline, Givenchy, Prada, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Fendi, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Chloé, Balenciaga, Valentino, Goyard, Loewe, Bottega Veneta, Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, and Richard Mille.
What happens if my item sells on Layaway?
Layaway does not affect our consignors! Once we receive a deposit from the client then it is considered sold and you will see earnings added to your account for the full amount minus the commission.
Why did my quote change after it expired?
Quotes are valid for 30 days and after the 30 days the quote can fluctuate higher or lower due to the following factors:
- Current inventory supply
- Current market and fashion trends
- Demand and supply
Why don't you accept certain brands?
Luxe Du Jour only accepts brands that we specialize in authenticating which are currently; Hermes, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Rolex, Fendi, Gucci, Fendi, Givenchy, Goyard, Cartier, Chloe, Van Cleef & Arpels, Balenciaga, Loewe, Bottega Veneta, Celine, Valentino, Saint Laurent and Manolo Blanik.
We do not specialize in authenticating every brand and by ensuring we specialize in only certain brands allows us to confidently offer a life time guarantee of authenticity on every item we sell.
Why was my item not accepted for consignment?
Reasons an item may not have received a quote:
- Brand not accepted
- Style currently not accepted due to market trends and low demand
- Missing important inclusions
- Condition below accepted grade of 8/10
- Overstocked inventory
- Altered beyond acceptable grade
Reasons an item may be returned to the consignor:
- Condition not properly disclosed (major wear and tear, altered, re-dyed etc)
- Aftermarket parts
- Counterfeit
- Item does not match original submission form
Why doesn't LDJ accept Chanel series starting in 177 and 176?
Luxe Du Jour currently doesn't accept any Chanel with series starting in 177 and 176 due to ongoing public issues and a majority of authenticators not being able to authenticate and support this specific batch of Chanel production from the year 2012 - 2013.
IMPORTANT: Update to our consignment rates
As we continue to elevate our services and maintain the highest standards in authentication, care, and customer experience, we are updating our consignment rates, effective January 1, 2026.

Key dates to note:
- October 15, 2025: Any pieces received on or before this date are eligible to be returned without our early termination penalty fee.
- December 15, 2025: All quotes issued on or after this date will reflect the new structure. Any items received on or after this date will automatically transition to our new rates above when sold.
- January 1, 2026: Our new consignment rates go into effect for all quotes and items still with us.

How can I escalate a concern to management?
If our customer care team cannot resolve your issue then customer service will escalate the issue to management. There is no direct line to management at this time but you can request to speak to management by providing your full name and a contact number for management to reach out to you.
Make it Returnable & Delivery Guarantee
What is Make it Returnable?
Luxe Du Jour has partnered with Seel to offer the option to purchase the ability to Make it Returnable on qualifying orders during Checkout:
- Make it Returnable gives shoppers a 7-day return window from the date of delivery on eligible items. If you’re unhappy with the purchase for any reason, Seel will buy it back from you for 100% of the purchase price you paid.
- The purchase price of Seel varies on the price and nature of the order. This fee is non-refundable, even if you don’t return the item. Please note that Make it Returnable is not available for all orders sold on Luxe Du Jour.

What is the Make it Returnable policy?
Make it Returnable applies to all eligible final sale items in an order. If an order includes both eligible and ineligible items, only the eligible items may be returned through Seel Make it Returnable.
All purchases are subject to a return period of 7 days, and returns must be initiated within 7 days from the date your package is marked as delivered by the carrier. You can request a return at any point within 7 days of delivery. To initiate a return, please follow the instructions in your email from returns@seel.com.
In the event your entire order is cancelled by Luxe Du Jour, the Make it Returnable fee will be refunded to you. However, the fee will not be refunded for partial cancellations.
Please also note that shipping fees are not covered by Make it Returnable. The original shipping fee will not be returned and you will need to pay for the cost of return shipping to Seel. Once the return is received and approved, the refund will be processed to the payment method you selected in the Resolution Center.
Make it Returnable is currently only offered on orders shipping to addresses in the United States.
How to Return using Make It Returnable
Report your return within 7 days of delivery through the Seel Resolution Center. Log in with your email and order number or coverage ID from your confirmation email.
Select the item(s) you wish to return. Choose your preferred refund method and share your tracking number & shipping carrier within the Resolution Center.
Follow the instructions provided to ship your return within 7 days of delivery. Once received and inspected for eligibility, your refund will be processed.
What is Seel Delivery Guarantee?
Seel Delivery Guarantee is a customer protection against loss, damage or theft during delivery of your order. Additionally, Delivery Guarantee includes carbon offsets for the emissions resulting from your order’s delivery and transit. Delivery Guarantee is a 3rd party service, offered and administered by LDJ’s partner, Seel.
What does Seel Delivery Guarantee Cover?
Seel Delivery Guarantee covers package loss, damage, and theft that meet the following criteria.
Loss: Domestic packages not delivered before the 30th day following order fulfillment (i.e., the date when the order is shipped by the merchant) or international packages not delivered before the 60th day following order fulfillment are considered lost. The compensation for lost packages is the value paid for the purchased item(s).
Theft: Packages marked “delivered” yet not received are considered a “theft”, though this may be due to some mishaps that are not criminal in nature. To qualify as a case of theft, supporting documents, such as a police report, may be required. (See “What Supporting Docs are Required for a Claim of Theft?”) The compensation for a verified case of theft is the value paid for the purchased item(s).
Damage: Shipping Protection covers item damages to the point that the item(s) are unusable, clearly fractured, shattered, bent (if not bendable), crushed, etc., but does not cover cosmetic damage (scratches, dents, etc.), manufacturing damages, packaging errors, or unsealed items. The compensation for damaged items is up to the value paid for the purchased item(s).
How does Seel Delivery Guarantee Resolve the Shipping Issues of my Order?
The customer experience of Seel Delivery Guarantee is as follows:
- Add Seel Delivery Guarantee at checkout for a modest fee to protect the order against loss, damage, and theft.
- If your order is eligible for Seel Delivery Guarantee, you’ll be receiving a confirmation email from Seel with all the coverage details, as well as instructions on how to report your package issue.
- If your protected package suffers loss, theft, or damage, you can report the issue via the Seel Resolution Center (resolve.seel.com).
- Seel will assess the issue to determine if the reported order issue qualifies for a payout.
- If the reported issue does qualify, a refund will be automatically sent to you.
To qualify for the payout, you need to follow the issue reporting requirements:
- Issues of loss, where the package is not delivered as per the carrier's information, must not be reported sooner than 30 days after the order fulfillment date for domestic shipments and 60 days for international shipments.
- Issues of damage and theft, where the package is shown "delivered", must be reported within 7 days from the time the carrier's information is updated to "delivered".
- All issues must be reported within 90 days of the order date.
What Products are Excluded from Seel Delivery Guarantee?
Seel Delivery Guarantee does not cover the following categories of items:
- Automobiles and motorcycles
- Jewelry (valued in excess of $1,500)
- Boats and yachts
- Live animals
- Cash
- Lumber
- Ceramic, marble or granite tiles, slab blocks, countertops, or statues
- Negotiable papers
- Cigarettes and other tobacco products
- Perishable commodities
- Raw cotton
- Pharmaceutical drugs
- Fine arts (valued in excess of $10,000 per piece)
- Precious stones and metals
- Flowers
- Scrap metal, steel metal and steel metal products; automotive engines; general used automotive merchandise made of metal
- Glass windows, plate glass, and similar goods

North American Cross Border Shipping
A note regarding changes to our shipping for US and Canadian customers: due to recent changes with cross border shipping, guests may notice incremental charges for duties and taxes. What brands do you accept and work on?
Our highly-skilled team repairs the following brands: Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Givenchy, Gucci, Céline, Prada, YSL and Balenciaga.
Is Luxe Bag Spa owned by Luxe Du Jour?
Yes! Luxe Bag Spa is a subsidiary of Luxe Du Jour and operates out of the same 2 head offices which makes it very convenient for any clients shopping or selling to Luxe Du Jour.
How can I trust you with my bags?
We were established in 2018 and are backed by the reputation of Luxe Du Jour. We have highly skilled artists that are trained only to work on high end designer handbags. You can also see our before and after transformations to see the level of work done.
Do you repair broken parts?
No, we do not. We do not have the authentic materials from these brands to replace them. You would need to take them into the boutique to replace certain parts.
Where can I see more before and after photos?

How do you determine your prices?
Every restoration can vary in pricing based on the complexity, color, time and material. Pricing can be anywhere from $100-$1500 and you can get a quote HERE.
Why don't you work on Patent / Vernis leather?
Patent and Vernis leather are chemically coated and the only way to restore the bag is dying it a darker color which we don't recommend.
Can I change the color of bag?
Yes, however we do not recommend it as it is expensive and high maintenance and alters the original bags authenticity. Changing a bag color can cost anywhere from $600-$1500 and only lighter colored bags can be changed to darker not vice versa.
Can you restore the shape of a bag?
No, we cannot restore deformation or mis-shaped bags as this will require an artisan to replace leather and re-shape.
If I restore my Hermes through you will that void the Hermes warranty?
Yes, we recommend taking Hermes items to the Hermes spa first if you do not want the warranty voided.
Why should I go through Luxe Bag Spa instead of the boutique themselves?
Some brands do not accept restoration work for wear and tear and boutiques like Chanel and Hermes take up to 6 months to repair.
How long does it typically take to restore an item?
Our turn around time is currently 5-10 business days to restore an item for our clients. We have one of the faster turn around times for our clients. Items purchased from Luxe Du Jour are often priority and can be completed within 1-3 days.
If I have a Luxe Membership what perks do I get with Bag Spa?
If you have a Luxe Du Jour membership you get an automatic 10% discount on all bag spa services and products. This is beneficial for resellers, other consignment shops or anyone who may use our bag spa services frequently as it will pay for the membership in no time! There are also other perks to having a Luxe Membership.
Do you ever have sales or promotions?
Yes! We sometimes have sales and promotions on our services and product for a short limited period of time so be sure to subscribe to our newsletter or turn on notifications if you have our app downloaded to be the first to know about any discounts, promotions and events!
If I don't live local can I still get my bag restored?
Yes of course! You are just responsible to getting your item shipped to us at one of our head offices.

Where is Luxe Bag Spa located?

When will Luxe Bag Spa start accepting new clients and services again?
Luxe Bag Spa currently only services to current Luxe Du Jour clients that are silver, gold or diamond status or to any clients that are purchasing an item from Luxe Du Jour that requires restoration.
This change was made effective May 5, 2024 due to the high volume of services and clients from the parent company Luxe Du Jour and may be opened back up to new clients and services in the future.

How do I prevent color transfer on patent bags?
- Do not expose patent handbags to sunlight for a prolonged period of time this can discolor the bag
- Do not put any dark colored items next to light colored patent as it will absorb the pigment and permanently stain the bag

What is Luxe Bag Rental?
Luxe Bag Rental is a platform where renters can rent authentic designer bags and accessories or lenders can lend out their authentic designer bags and accessories and make money every month as it gets rented out. We are like the 'AIRBNB' of designer luxury!
Are all your items authentic?
Yes! Authenticity is of utmost importance to Luxe Bag Rental. We guarantee 100% authenticity of our collections as every item undergoes a rigorous authentication process by our experts who ensure that only 100% authentic items are offered to our customers.We gaurantee every item we rent out is 100% authentic or your money back. We also expect the same authentic item with the exact serial/date code matching is returned.
Where is Bag Rental based out of?
We have 2 head offices in Calgary AB Canada and Irvine CA USA which are the only 2 countries Bag rental is available in.
If I don't live in Canada or the US can I still rent?
No unfortunately Luxe Bag Rental is only available within Canada (except Quebec) and the US at this time. As we expand and open more head offices then this may change in the future!

Are the rental items brand new?
Most of our rental items are pre-owned in excellent condition unless stated otherwise. There may be a small selection of brand new items available for rent!
Can I pick up my rental item if I live local?
Yes you can! You can pickup at one of our head offices during business hours Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm:

Is Luxe Bag Rental owned by Luxe Du Jour?
Yes! Luxe Bag Rental is an owned subsidiary of Luxe Du Jour and operates out of the same head office as Luxe Du Jour.
Why can't I rent if I live in Quebec?
Due to certain rules and jurisdiction of Quebec we are unable to offer rental services or approve any account if you live in that province.
Why wasn't my account approved?
Your account could not have been approved for the following reasons:
- Poor or no banking relationship with the bank you verified the account with
- Incomplete bank submission or identity verification
You can re-verify with a bank that you have a stronger relationship or trying again to ensure the full verification submission was completed.
Why do I need to verify my identity and bank information?
Every renter will need to verify their identity and banking due to the high valued items we are renting out. This helps us mitigate theft and other related risks.
If you have a strong relationship or history with Luxe Du Jour you may not need to go through the bank verification process. This option is eligible upon request or invite only by management.
Is there a credit check to verify my account?
No, there is no credit check and your credit score will not be pulled to verify your account.
What perks do VIP Renters get?
VIP renter status is invite only based on a good rental history or a strong relationship with Luxe Du Jour. This will give you access to all the ultra high end handbags, accessories and watches such as Hermes, Limited edition Chanel, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Rolex. VIP renters are also eligible to rent more than 1 item at a time.
Are there any promotions or discounts for rental?
Yes! Sometimes there will be promotions and sales but for limited time only so make sure you subscribe to our newsletter and turn on notifications if you have our app downloaded to be notified of any promotions, sales or events!
If I have a Luxe Du Jour membership what perks do I get with Bag Rental?
The Luxe Du Jour membership gives you higher lender payouts! Instead of 50% payout you will receive 60%!
(Ex. If you lend out a Chanel item at $1000 you will get $600 instead of $500
There are other perks of the membership that make it worth it!
How long does it take to get an approval for my rental account?
It can take up anywhere from 1-2 business days to have your account reviewed.
Do I need to verify my identity and banking every time I log in?
No, the 2 step verification process is only required once at sign up. Once you have gotten your account approved you will not need to go through this step again.
Why do I need to verify my bank?

Is there a hold on my account or credit card when I rent?
No, we do not place security holds on your account or credit card.
RENTING
How long can I rent an item for?
You will have the option of;
7 days
15 days
30 days
How many items can I rent at one time?
You can only rent 1 item at a time. VIP clients may have the option to rent multiple items at a time.
How do I become a VIP renter?
VIP renter status is invite only for clients with a good rental history or a strong relationship with Luxe Du Jour.
When does my rental period start?
Your rental period starts once the item is delivered!
How do I return my rental item?
- You will package up the item back in its original packaging that it was shipped to you in
- A prepaid label will be provided to you so that you can attach to the exterior of the box (Make sure to remove the old label)
- Drop off the item at the corresponding post office of that label and make sure the post office scans it
- Action the rental return on your account under MY LUXE and take photo of the box at your post office and confirm it's been shipped
- Our team will be notified that this item is on it's way back by you actioning the return
- You will receive notification as soon as it's successfully returned and then you will be able to rent again!
Please note: You will not be able to rent another item until your item has been confirmed successfully returned in good standing.
When am I suppose to return my item?
Depending on how long you chose to rent the item for you can check this status under 'MY LUXE' and once the item has been delivered the rental term starts. You are responsible to ensure the return item is scanned at the post office no later than the due date to avoid a late fee of $25 a day.
What happens if I am late to return my item?
You will need to action this through 'MY LUXE' requesting an extension which there is a $25 late fee per day. If we do not receive action or notification of this late item your account may be deleted and escalated to litigation.
Can I extend my rental period?
Yes, you can request an extension of the rental item through 'MY LUXE' and if approved for extension you will need to pay for the new rental period.
What if my rental item is lost in transit?
All our items are insured through our company. However, when returning an item it is your responsibility to ensure the parcel was scanned. If it is not scanned then this is not insured and you will be fully liable for the item.
What if I don't like my rental item when I receive it?
Unfortunately, all rentals are final and cannot be refunded or switched.
What if I want to return my rental early, will I be reimbursed for the difference?
No, the length of time is already set so please choose your time frame accordingly.
Can I lend the item to someone else during the rental period?
No, our items can only be used by the renter.
Do I need to clean the bag before returning it?
No, just remember to check all pockets to ensure all your personal belongings are removed return it in the same condition as it was received. If you damage an item, please do not clean, paint or try to fix damages as it might do more harm to the bag.
What happens if I damage the rental item?
If the bag is returned in a non re-rentable or sellable condition to our company standards and not easily repairable you are responsible for paying the full retail/market price (MSRP) indicated on the listing as per the terms and conditions agreement you signed. Major damage would be: stains, tears, rips, broken parts, gash, any visible wear bigger than the size of a dime.
What if I receive the bag and it already has some damages to it?
Minor wear and tear like tiny scuffs or rub wear or scratches on hardware is normal and you will not be charged for any minor wear and tear smaller than a dime size. If the damage is larger please contact our customer care.
Will I be charged for minor wear and tear?
No, minor wear and tear is understandable like hairline scratches and small corner scuffs but if the wear is larger than a dime size and requires Luxe Bag Spa to restore it then this charge may be applied ranging from $100-$300.
Can I buy the item that I am renting?
Yes if the item is cross listed for sale on Luxe Du Jour! You will be able to see if the item is also available for sale and the selling price. If you would like to keep the bag you can pay for the item and the items inclusions (Box, dustbag, card etc) if applicable will be shipped to you afterwards.
LENDING
Why do I need to verify my identity if I am not renting a bag?
It is mandatory to create an account and verify your identity to access any feature on our site. This is to protect the assets of the company and to follow KYC guidelines.
What happens if the item I lent out was stolen or lost?
In the rare event of your item being lost or stolen. You will be compensated the full MSRP of the item and the value will be assessed by the product specialists at Luxe Du Jour. We do not recommend lending out any sentimental or ultra rare items incase of this happening.
How can I trust who my item is being lent out to?
We have a two-step secured verification process that screens anyone who might not be a legitimate person with verifiable funds. Our software can detect possible scammers or anyone who might be misleading or trying to commit fraud.
When do I get paid?
Every lender gets paid out at the end of every month when their bag gets rented out for the full cycle. You can check the status of your item under 'MY LUXE' and will be notified when your item gets rented out if you have our app downloaded.
What happens if my item doesn't get rented out?
You just don't get paid until it's rented out. You can also cross list the item on Luxe Du Jour for sale while available for rental.
How long do I need to keep my item on rental for?
Your item is required to stay with Luxe Bag Rental for at least 90 days to be lent out. You can also transfer it to Luxe Du Jour at anytime but if you'd like to retrieve your item before the 90 days then there is an early withdrawal fee of $250.
What if I want my rental item returned to me?
You can request your item returned to you if it's passed its 90 day duration and as long as your item is not currently rented out we can return it to you. If you would like to retrieve your item before the 90 day period there will be an early withdrawal fee of $250.
How many items can I lend out at once?
You can lend out as many items as you'd like! Some items are more popular than others so you will have a better chance of seeing your items rented out if you test a few out.
Which items are popular to lend out?
Popularity can vary from season to season! We recommend you testing your item on our explore page to gauge how many people would buy or rent our your item to make a more educated decision. You can also see our 'WANTED' section which gets updated regularly for in demand items our clients are looking for.
What happens if my item gets damaged
In the event your item is returned with major damage, our bag spa will restore your bag for you or you would be compensated for the damages. Please note that you are lending your bag out so you should expect minor wear when it gets rented out. We do not recommend lending items that are in brand new or like new condition.
